Having our closest friends and family near to gather is precious enough. But, to celebrate the first birthday of our first born, Kael, was a day of treasured memories and happy chaos. The sun was hot, kids were everywhere and covered in wet sand from our splash pool we dubbed the pirate sea. Surprises were hidden in tubs of sand for them to forage through and each little friend received a map to finish the evening with a real pirate's treasure hunt. The day was good, the company better and the birthday boy loved the more than ever before.
